One of the world’s most successful hedge fund held their annual holiday/New Year’s celebration at the famed Cipriani 25 Broadway. Situated in front of the Wall Street “Charging Bull”, this is an incredible event space, as you can see in the photos below.
No expense was spared on the décor and sound system. The band, Central Park Orchestra, was amplified by an elaborate concert sound system with a 3-man sound crew. Even though the system could power a concert the volume was well under control. After dinner was done the event planner gave the band the go-ahead to crank up the dance set, and the band ROCKED!
There was a contemporary set filled with Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, Shawn Mendes and Sia. There was also a Latin oriented set that included Camila Cabello’s Havanna, Mark Anthony, Tito Puente and Santana. But, it was the funk set that “tore the roof off” that included Kool & The Gang’s “Jungle Boogie”, “1999” and “Kiss” by Prince and Parliament Funkadelic’s “Give Up The Funk”.
At the end of the evening the event planner said; “I never saw this group dance as much as they did tonight”. “I’ll be in touch soon with next year’s date.”
