
The New York Orchestra performed for the 64th annual Quadrille Ball, 2025 at The Plaza Hotel in NY City (see highlight reel below). The orchestra’s instrumentation is 4 violins, viola, cello, contra-bass, trumpet, trombone, saxophone/clarinet, co-musical director pianist Dom Cicchetti, led by drummer/bandleader Bill Messinetti.
The approximately 300 guests were witness to the debutante style dancers performing waltzes, marches and classical style pieces. Before and after the dancers performed the guests danced the night away to American Standards, more waltzes, cha cha cha’s and German polkas.
After a 4-hour performance by the orchestra, the after hours party saw a knockout performance by The Vibe band.
According to their website; The Quadrille and the German-American Scholarship Association are dedicated to promoting Trans‑Atlantic friendship and understanding by raising funds to award scholarships for the exchange of graduate and undergraduate students from Germany and the U.S.
